The Malone Saddle Up Pro was easy to install and was able to hold my 34 inch wide, 91 pound fishing kayak where most kayak mounting modules can't could t. The extra socks make it easier to push the kayak forward. The saddles flex to conform to my kayak's body shape while absorbing some of the pressure from the bindings/strap that hold the kayak to the roof. - Production packaging is always thrown into the box. It's ok but one of the saddles arrived slightly worn which is purely cosmetic. Kayak using the method outlined in the enclosed Malone guide. I had to buy a set of 16ft harnesses. - The bow and stern mounts do the job but leave a lot to be desired. Basically it's just a rope. tied with a hook at the end. I tied them to ratchet ties.
