Given the mixed reviews I was a bit hesitant to get it. I totally understand why some people love it and some people dismiss it as rubbish. At first glance it seems to be very well made, but it wobbles a bit when installing it. So it doesn't feel very strong. We have a permanent home. 6 people in one shower, so it's a beating. This was bought to replace the one we had for over 10 years. This one was solid, it didn't move once it was in place so I was a little concerned and decided to give it a couple of weeks to test. As long as it can stand my crazy kids and noisy households. TIP: The instructions say "no tools required," but if you hand-tighten the braces, it's difficult to tighten enough to avoid kicking. My shelves slid off the bar just by placing 3 full soap bottles on them. But a pair of pliers to tighten those staples solved that problem in no time. While I like the design, I like the features and only four stars because it wobbles a bit, although it doesn't seem to affect performance. Design or product performance, it's confusing.
