poured tea into a carafe and couldn't put the lid on. I had the spout lids open, one lid open, the other closed, I tried to loosen it and made sure even pressing nothing worked. I then poured the tea into another container to see if I could close the lid without fear of spilling. Nothing worked. Then I thought that there are hundreds of jars, why should I be frustrated by one container with an unruly attitude? I took the carafe back to the UPS store, went to Target next door, found a two-liter glass jug on the shelf that burst with joy. Its lid opened and closed for me several times without fuss. The problem is solved, the tea is now stored in the refrigerator in a beautiful, dirt-repellent glass pot.
