I was upset when my original strap broke and worse, TomTom didn't have an OEM replacement available. So I bought this out of the blue but I have to say I'm happy with it and more importantly it didn't break. I liked the original cap better, but I'm used to it. I wish it was longer - I have a larger male wrist and usually only have half an inch (3 holes) left to try and fit the case. and it doesn't fit into the charger as neatly as the original, but I'm used to it.
