Nothing about this $400 product suggests "quality". it seems to fit. The airbox mounting hole did not match the stock box (not even close); I had to drill another hole in my car's inner fender. Only then is it correct. The aluminum tube wasn't even fully "chromed" where the MAF sensor was, it looked like brown rust. There were also chrome flaps around the hole where the plastic barbed nipple goes, which I had to remove before I could screw it in. The plastic cover they give you for the top of the airbox is junk. It was thin, hard plastic that made a crackling sound when you tried to "tighten" the screws. And the screw holes weren't even centered and I almost couldn't get any of the screws in. The instructions keep telling you to use the included fasteners/screws, but none of the screws or washers fit. marked. They're all in one package and you have to look at the diagram and guess what to use. I feel like I paid too much for what I got. I could buy something much cheaper that does the same thing and save a few hundred bucks. Don't get me wrong the product works and works great. I just feel like K&N could do a little better. I feel like they reduced the cost of some things that wouldn't have cost them additional implementation costs.
