I used this to patch cracks in my Oklahoma Joe Longhorn Smoker. I've used this in both a lower temperature cookbox and a higher temperature firebox. I wasn't worried about the cooking chamber - the temperature rarely exceeds 250 degrees. However, the firebox can get very hot even under normal circumstances and I was afraid it wouldn't hold up. I made several different smokes with this material, each lasting about 12 hours. The glue still works very well and I haven't noticed any problems. A few more months may show a different result but I am quite happy with this product so far. If it doesn't hold I'll probably have to use a higher quality one, I really wanted to just use this one and both glue and my smoker are black and I don't really like how I add a bunch of red glue and ruin the nice look of my smoker.
