I needed an adapter/splitter to use with the remote microphone and headset or headphones on my laptop for Zoom and Go To Meeting teleconferencing services. The electronics industry has switched to a four-pin (female) 3.5mm connector for better sound isolation. The Dukabel adapter was perfect for what I needed. You can use an adapter with a wired stereo microphone (will work with a wired monaural microphone with some mechanical adjustments), but stereo headphones or a headset are required. The splitter can be used to add a separate lavalier or wireless microphone, as well as separate headphones or a stereo headset. You can also use only one of the two elements. Most adapters are inexpensive in terms of cable and strain relief, but the Dukabel adapter uses nylon and metal jacketed cables and high-quality gold-plated connectors. All in all great quality for the price!
