Review on Stop Go 1075 Standard Plugger by Zach Peterson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works well and is more reliable than threaded strip

It took me two tries the first time I used it for a side panel hole. The trick is to pump the lever very slowly at first to allow the mushroom head to contract and fully enter the nozzle. Lubrication is important here, as it says in many places in the instructions. The spark plugs come pre-lubricated, but I can buy a separate container of tire wax just in case. Puncture and unscrew from the insertion tool when repairing a slow leaking puncture. Simply allow the tire to fully deflate and continue with the repair process. Anyway, I have two portable tire pumps in my car. I was hesitant to try this because it doesn't use vulcanizing cement, but the plug holds air for 5 weeks and over 1000 miles. I assume it will last the life of the tire. If you need an emergency tire plug kit that you can leave in your car without the glue drying out, this (or the screw-in version) is the way to go.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Poorly thought out
