Let that teach me a lesson. This part looked like the original Mercedes tensioner, but unfortunately that's all the good stuff. I spent a day installing the tensioner, serpentine belt and both pulleys. Everything checked twice and checked again. Started the van and after two minutes of use the bearing failed, melting the pulley and deforming my new belt. I bought a replacement roller at a local parts store. It cost me more than what I paid for the stretcher, but it works. Poor manufacturing and quality control by the company that makes this tensioner cost me 2 days of labor, 2 serpentine belts, and I also had to replace the alternator in a total mess. I ended up paying another $450 to save $45. Don't try to save money like me, just buy a quality OEM part and save yourself the headache.
