They don't advertise that a mobile app is required if you want to use this as a standalone device. 2 hours into their useless tech support and they never mentioned it even though it was the first thing I told them when I used it. I installed it at 45 feet ready to go now it's boxed up and ready to go back. There is no phone support, only someone to email you links. I work on the street, not on the computer, I get an answer at noon and in the evening. This can take a long time. Eventually they told me I need a device, I borrowed an iPad, installed an app so it can find the hotspot so don't buy these things unless you have time to waste time and yourself then it may never work.
