Easy to read markings

I have a small tool kit in my SUV with a 1/2" ratchet and 22mm deep nut and speed knob so I can do it if I need to change apartments. quicker and easier than using a factory key. After helping a motorist change his flat tire with a factory wrench due to different nut sizes, I decided to get heads for other nut sizes. Well, I found the Neiko Pro 02282B Set of 5 Thin Wall Impact Sockets, 1/2" Drive, Pack of 5. They are: 1. Space Saving; Collapsible sockets take up half the space of regular deep sockets.2. Include a 22mm size which some other sets don't 3. Have easy to read markings 4. They have 6 point connectors and will touch the nut on a flat surface not corners There are 4 3- "Long fold-out connectors and a 1/2" 3" drive expansion, all housed in a red-blown case. Case dimensions: 8.25"W x 5.91"D x 1.92" H. In the case I received there is a piece of foam embedded in the lid of the box which is not shown in the product photo. I assume it's made for storage I've tried sockets and extension cords on various friends and family's cars, except no one had a car with 17mm nuts that fitted well (more on 22mm head below) and the extension fit both the sockets and my ratchet case where the nut was too big to fit the wheel, but neither of us had fancy wheels, just factory aluminum or steel. I didn't actually use an impact wrench since most of it was done without compressed air, but I also loosen and tighten the lug nuts by hand so as not to damage them (or damage them, as Chrysler lug nuts do). mmm, it seems to have wobbled a bit .Also in the reviews there was vo Tau on the thinness of these sockets. So I took some measurements. Nom is the nominal size in decimal inches. ID is the measured ID from one level to another. OD is the measured OD about half an inch from the edge. Dep is the pull depth. They look like thin-walled impact bushings. However, they are still larger than standard sockets. For example, my 22mm deep Duralast bushing is 1.171" in diameter and I have a 1.007 Stanley 3/4 spark plug bushing. These bushings are 9-12 thousandths larger than the nut's nominal size, except for 22mm, which is 21 thousandths, which explains why it felt a little wobbly. For those interested in such things, the draw depth is certainly not shallow where it would be as deep as a standard fat nut. When you put your finger in the socket, the broach will go in as deep as it will go and rest against the notch in the square shank, well, except for the 21mm and 17mm sizes. I don't know why these two were smaller than the others; There is still room to go deeper. The size markings are easy to read and are finished in silver, which contrasts with the matte black phosphate finish. The markings appear to be printed rather than embossed, so I suspect they will wear away over time. I'll see how the marks and finish hold up in my little tool box. (I will not use the blown case they come with). There are two circular ribs near the center of the sockets so I'm wondering if they will roll over them to make the markings and trim less touching. Another thing I've just noticed with dark paint jobs is that changing tires at night in the dark makes me wonder if I can see or find the outlet after laying it on the ground in low light. . (But now that I know this, I guess I'll be careful.) Unlike a regular rosette, where the square shank ends, these hinged rosettes hook in the middle. You'll need an extension unless you're using a long impact wrench or maybe something like a gorilla telescopic wrench. I also noticed with the extension that the detent ball on the square drive is a bit further away compared to my other extensions. . Inserting it into the socket with the bullet going into the side hole is very secure, but so secure that I had to use a punch to force the bullet through to remove the socket, or use another extension to get on tap the Neiko extender to start it the outlet. Using these sockets, the overall length with the extension is just under 4-1/8 inches. Using my standard 22mm deep socket with a 3" extension, the overall length is a little less than 5-3/8". That 1-1/4" difference reduces the distance from the sidewall of the tire to my ankles and it wasn't as comfortable so I used my 5" extension. Oh interesting, 19mm (0.748") is really close to 3/4" (0.750") and in this set the inner diameter and outer diameter of the bushings are almost the same. Even with such a large bushing inner diameter of 22mm it combines with a size 7/8 so all 8 sizes can be done with 3 flip sockets just a thought all in all this is a great set it's every size I'll ever need right?
