I am not an electrician but I can install a ceiling fan a light switch a receptacle a breaker without too much of any problems. My lack of knowledge of how the different types of wiring 4 light switches made it to where I had to take the existing switch pull it out with wires intact and take a photo and went to Lowe's to ask my go-to guy in electrical department if this which would work for this the switch I'm was going to replace. He looked at the product with the diagram from Revain of the product and compared it to my picture and said it would be no problem with this light switch. And it clearly states that is for a single switch light switch. I saw that they had another switch for just in case you had multiple switches for the same light. The wiring in my house had wires coming from the light. A hot wire coming in to the switch and a set of wires going out that was to power other switches. The video provided helped me install and connect to the Alexa app and Echo devices but it did not show three sets of wires did I was dealing with. Lucky for me I have some understanding of how wiring should be hooked up but I did get guidance from a professional electrician who happened to be the guy at Lowe's. When you're dealing with wiring you want to be right for if you hook it up wrong are you miss a step it could be bad for your health and your property. In the end this thing work like a champ and for the price you can't beat it.
