Moen DN7010 Home Care Bath Rail White

Lucky for me. I have a 1950's porcelain bathtub on iron with a wide rim. I thoroughly rinsed the area where the splint will be clamped to remove any soap or bath oil residue. This Moen safety bar opened to the full length of the slots that slid perfectly over the rim and sat on the bottom clamps. Side pads adhere satisfactorily to the surface. I fully tightened the security screws with the supplied hex wrench and checked for wobbles. No wobble. Of course, when I'm cleaning I'll often make sure I keep the hexagon in a drawer in the bathroom. Its white finish and style match the bathroom, which is an unexpected plus. It's not too obvious. I don't know if I would use it to pull myself out of the tub, it's just friction and pressure holding it in place and pulling up under the weight of my body where the strength of my hand pushing down tends to to keep it in place. I installed it so I could hold on to something for balance when getting in and out of the shower. The knurling on the handle is comfortable to hold.

Pros
  • Glacier finish for a brilliant pure white look
Cons
  • Modern
