1. Smonet bolt had to be returned because the battery cover was stuck. Impossible to open it without loosening 2 small screws on the back. Contact Smonet and they advised sending the latch in for a new one. The second Smonet bolt arrived and worked as expected. I've been using this bar for about 2 weeks and here are the pros and cons. Positive aspects: 1. Fingerprint. It's very responsive.2. The application is very easy to use.3. Small and not bulky like the previous Schlage bar I had. Cons: 1. You have to hold # to block (you can't just press #). I had a Schlage latch before Smonet and with Schlage.2 I just had to push a button to latch. Bluetooth capability only and no Wi-Fi capability. This means you cannot remotely lock/unlock this latch. For Wi-Fi capability, you need to purchase an additional part (Wi-Fi gateway). This should have been enabled as most Smart Deadbolts are currently Z-Wave capable. - Overall, the function is still good, but I deduct a star because of defects. - Updated on 05/01/2021: changed to 5 stars. The seller read my reviews and realized I wasn't happy with the lack of Wi-Fi capability. Gateway sent free of charge! Excellent customer service!
