Time will tell how durable this unit is but I have to say I'm so glad right now that I saved $35 on a Motorcraft unit. Compared to 2, the gate block is very well made and the gate block is significantly heavier. This leads me to believe that the overall quality of the bike is better than the replacement. I think when I get 223k it will officially be better. When I pulled the old one out, the center bolt was wedged fairly well due to the separation of the two halves. I had to knock the bolt out with a hammer drill. This part of the goal seems stronger where the two halves meet. Gates does very good stuff. After seeing that I think I'll take one of their water pumps for the 7.3. Gotta love this engine and the auto industry is still making updated, stronger parts for it. I will probably never sell my truck. Why should I when Amazon keeps selling parts for it. You don't even have to be smart to order parts for your truck here!
