My son loves this jacket. It's really well made and doesn't look "cheap" like the ones I've seen in local stores. It's more like a real coat as it's lined and offers some warmth. And that's great, because here in northern Wisconsin, rain usually means it's cold outside. When I say "real coat" I also mean that the coat is neither stiff nor hard, so you can use it as a casual spring jacket if you wish. It doesn't have to be just the rain. I also really like that this jacket can be zipped into a portable square pouch; It packs flat and is much easier to fit in a kid's backpack! I chose a bright yellow color to be visible to other drivers when he's walking home from school. And since he's yellow, his little sister can carry him after he outgrows him. I've only washed it once so far, but it's held up well in our washer and dryer we just found. The construction of this coat appears to be well made. I did not find any protruding threads or large rough seams. This is a really good jacket. I would recommend this brand.
