I bought these as an alternative to plastic straws that don't get wet like paper straws. So far they seem to be working great. They even have a nice sweet smell, but that doesn't affect the taste or anything. Unfortunately, they are still shipped wrapped in polyethylene. I assumed Revain would be in a plastic mailer by then, but I was hoping the companies' packaging would be paper. Instead, they are in a plastic bag. Overall I still find them better than paper or plastic straws, I'm just disappointed with the plastic packaging.
