Review on 🎨 ARTISTRO Watercolor Paint Set: 48 Vibrant Colors with Metallic and Fluorescent Shades – Portable Box for Creative Artists, Hobbyists, and Travelers by Kristen Reid

This watercolor kit looks like it will last the hobby artist for a long time! Watercolors aren't my main medium, but they're vibrant and go with the patterns pretty well, so you know what you're getting. A sample test sheet is included so you can try out what it's like to paint on the included watercolor paper and create your own sample so you know exactly how all the colors will look once dry. The only problem I had is that they don't match the order of the swatches provided. So be sure to match the names and numbers when testing colors. I photographed the swatches and my first set of matching colors. I love that the colors are listed at the bottom of the box and I love that we can test the colors like this. You can see that the color is very light and pigmented and it's not hard to get a good gradient without playing around with water. The paper also prevents the ink from running too much. I left a very wet line in Brilliant Red to see if the ink bled onto the paper. (The parts of the swatches that bleed out of the box are entirely my fault, not the ink that bleeds on the paper.) The inclusion of white is interesting; I usually get white by adding water to reduce the color or by leaving white space, so I don't know if I'll use that much white. However, I included it in my top row of swatches and it goes really well with the paper. The metallic paints shimmer beautifully and after drying there is almost no shimmering residue left on my finger. The colors and tones are very close to the supplied color swatch, although I had to use VERY little water to get fuller pigmentation. I like that they contain a wide range of shades and meanings. The variety and pigmentation of these colors make them remarkable. I think this would make a great gift for aspiring artists! I would recommend it to a friend.
