When my mother-in-law's car was recently stolen from her garage, the garage door remote was in and left with her. (Why? You should have asked my mother-in-law, but I would advise against it!) Very convenient! Oh, and if you're wondering if an overhead door opener was used to steal my mother-in-law's car, the answer is no! She left the garage door open and the smart key inside! (Remember I told you not to ask her why?)
