Do not use as a replacement for an old pet door.

I measured the old fitted door and it turned out that this new door is the same average size. But when I took my old door off and put a new one in, the new door was smaller than the old door's opening. So I had to send it back and pay the postage! When upgrading to newer models, why don't they make sure they fit in the same holes as their older models?
