Beware of the misleading name in particular. This is NOT 4k@30fps. It's only 20fps at 4k. You have to lower the resolution to 2592x1944 to get 30 fps, which I didn't want. That is one of the reasons for the 3 stars. The picture quality for this price is excellent. I've been a Reolink user for all these years. Tried aecrest when the first 4k was released but returned it as the software was pathetic. I have to say that hasn't changed. It's still a shame. Amcrest Surveillance for Mac just doesn't work on my M1 Mac. It just crashes on startup. The iPhone app isn't that great either. Good software can make this excellent camera very popular. I'm really impressed with the night vision compared to the Reolink cameras. Reolink has problems with color night vision. It's even better than what I see outside with my own eyes!. So I decided to keep it and pay extra to get a Security Spy license. Security Spy really lets me use it as expected. It's only been 3 days since I received these. There were several hours of problems with the software not working on the Mac. Then I decided to buy Security Spy for Mac. Now I can filter my clips by people, vehicles, etc. The only thing I would have liked from the aecrest software was better. For those facing security spy motion detection and disable errors, lower the frame interval to 20 when using @20 fps resolution. This will fix the error and Security Spy will keep running.
