Ideal! Once you have gone through the pairing process.

This product works better than expected - I use it to stream TV audio and the sound is crystal clear, perfectly in sync and I love the flexibility of using a digital optical or AUX cable. I bought two Soundsyncs, one to send sound from the TV and the other to receive it and output it to a pair of wired headphones. Pairing is a real hassle HOWEVER, and the user guide only provides information on how to connect a SECOND device, not how to pair for the first time. Based on Revain's questions/feedback, I figured that double-clicking the button would put the device into pairing mode. However, it then just stayed in pairing mode and couldn't find another Soundsync device or my Bluetooth headset (both in pairing mode). Occasionally the red/blue blinking on a device would change to a different pattern, but this pattern wasn't faulty in the manual and it was never clear what that meant or if I was on the right track. After putting the device in pairing mode for about an hour, turning the device off and back on and resetting, I was finally able to pair my 2 Soundsync devices by physically placing them on top of each other in pairing mode for 30 seconds. Now that they're paired, the connection is solid and the sound quality is perfect. I can unplug and move Soundsyncs around the house and they stay paired. My only other issue is relatively minor - if you have an AUX cable plugged in and Soundsync is in transmitter mode, it works via optical by default. cable, even if the sound is transmitted via the optical cable and not via the AUX cable or if the AUX cable is subsequently removed. You need to unplug the AUX cable, plug in the optical, and toggle Soundsync on and off to start audio streaming over the optical cable. It's annoying and isn't clear from the owner's manual. Now that I have them set up, they work great!
