No connection to smart life app, save your time and nerves by buying something better. I thought a universal IR remote would be a great addition to my smart home collection, and when I saw it for $20 I thought it was too good to pass up. The wording of the instruction doesn't match the wording in the app itself, and the item you're supposed to select in the app doesn't even exist. I suggest skipping this until you get specific instructions on how to actually use the device. I'll go back and buy something more expensive.
