Easy install with the socket trick
This worked great at 4 Runner 2012 with advice from others on the socket trick. Small Sil-Glyde, 3/8 socket wrench and flat head screwdriver. The quality seems good but the only test is time. Grease the edges of the hole around the antenna, put on a new antenna base (insert the lower tab in the hole), insert the 3/8" socket at the top with the antenna, insert a screwdriver behind the antenna. onto the socket and firmly pull the screwdriver down on both sides. Went straight in, just making sure all the edges went under the hood like it should.
