We needed a second scratching post so our big cats wouldn't use the couch as a scratching post. We already have an absolutely huge one that they like, but it's not practical to put it in front of the sofa (it's 4 feet tall and 15 inches in diameter). So we bought it because of the cheap solution. Both love it and play with both. Spring Bird and Bungee Bird. It doesn't last long with regular use by larger cats (we have a Maine Coon mix).
