Review on Max Marlow Tall Scratch Post by Kara Davis

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good price for cats

We needed a second scratching post so our big cats wouldn't use the couch as a scratching post. We already have an absolutely huge one that they like, but it's not practical to put it in front of the sofa (it's 4 feet tall and 15 inches in diameter). So we bought it because of the cheap solution. Both love it and play with both. Spring Bird and Bungee Bird. It doesn't last long with regular use by larger cats (we have a Maine Coon mix). Sisal tears easily. But for less than $25 our first one lasted over 2 years making it perfectly acceptable. for our needs. So when the first one broke we bought the second one. In short, I would not recommend it as a main or sole scratching post for long-term needs. Maybe he keeps a house with a longer cat, or maybe a couple of small cats that aren't as good at scratching their backs. But for the second post, to distract your cat from enjoying your favorite piece of furniture. That was our decision. Also, because it's smaller, it's a lot easier to move around when needed.
