This headset is good enough for general voice use such as a VOIP softphone or cell phone. Mic sound is a bit bassy, but not enough to sound like helium inhalation. I'd say it's better than most consumer headsets I've used. Oddly enough, there was a label on the front of the retail box indicating it was a stereo headset. Having never heard of one ear stereo, that was either a typo or it meant mixing both channels into one headphone. If you need a headset to use VOIP, transcription, etc., this will definitely do the trick.
