This headset is good enough for general voice use such as a VOIP softphone or cell phone. Mic sound is a bit bassy, but not enough to sound like helium inhalation. I like that it is only one ear. I've bought a few others: a pair of two $30 pairs of headphones that hugged my head too much, and a cheaper pair. When I work from home or in a call center, as soon as I start answering the phone, I feel claustrophobic, like I'm in another world with both ears closed.
