With the integrated plastic cup I didn't have to worry about scratching the rim when using leverage to install the valve root. The plastic shell also has multiple GROOVES so that valve stems with Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensors (TPMS) attached can be securely installed (because the installation angle can be controlled). This valve stem puller is excellent (works great). I saved money because the dealership wouldn't charge for installing valve stems and tire pressure monitoring sensors (TPMS). The swivel arm makes work easier. Very happy with the purchase; no auto shop near me sells them (and I've searched extensively).
