Review on πŸ’Ž Enkay 387-3C 3-Inch Diamond Wheel, 1/4-Inch Shank, Packaged by Darion Wooten

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Not for "metal ", "soft metal " or "plastic ".

I bought an Enkay diamond disc to cut nails sticking out from under the deck. Thin gauge and galvanized steel nails. It took about 1 minute for the wheel to cut through the nails with an electric drill running at maximum speed (about 1500 rpm). The hand drill was difficult to hold while cutting. The description must state that the wheel is only suitable for "soft metals" in addition to other specified materials. The wheel comes with a shaft that fits a drill chuck, so presumably it was meant to be used with a drill press. This is the reason for the three star rating. The wheel is easy to assemble and assemble, it will not be broken or worn when cutting some nails. UPDATE 02/28/20. I've tried the wheel on other materials - soft metals and plastics. Regardless of the speed or angle used, it performed poorly on them as well. I advise against buying it.
