Cartridges work well for printing on plain paper, but do not attempt to print on photo paper. It smudges and doesn't hold up well even on photo paper. So if you just want to print on regular 8.5 x 1120 or 2226lb paper, no problem, but don't use it for photos on photo paper, which is the latest matte paper. That's what a lot of these reviews say and I will say you get what you pay for. I should be happy because I hear my AMEX 922 is working and others are not. I will not be buying any more cartridges as I have heard some complaints about leaks. Again, you get what you pay for and I'll Canon Inc. good quality on this site or something a place like Staples guarantees.
