Review on ๐Ÿšช Evelots Magnetic Door Draft Stopper with Steel Clips - No Repositioning Needed! by Rahul Schatz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Just buy neodymium magnets!

After reading the reviews I had high hopes for this product but it was definitely a good buy. The liner is about three inches thick at the bottom and is fairly insulated. It also has a thick nylon base so I'm hoping it can slide over the laminate for a long time. People were most concerned about the weak magnets on the metal doors, so I played it safe and spent another $10 (on Revain). ) on a pack of neodymium ('rare earth') magnets, and they work great. The sign has three grommets for the three wooden door brackets, so I just put a magnet in each of them and it really holds up. While on my knees to install this I could feel the draft under my door, so I could also feel it stop when the guard was in place. Haven't seen the utility bill yet but so far I couldn't be happier with this purchase. So if you have a metal door, just spend a few extra bucks on these really strong magnets and you're good to go. The total cost for both items was about $25, comparable to other guards on this site and elsewhere on the web, so I didn't have to put any effort into making it work.

Pros
  • EASY TO STORE! Stores neatly when not in use with an integrated hanging loop. Hang a draft limiter on a doorknob, closet hook, or other hard-to-reach spot.
Cons
  • Communication with seller
