Android stereo that works. Worth a try!

I just installed the Android radio (after ordering for over a week) and I can say that I am very happy with it. In my 15-year-old Mitsubishi Montero I feel the characteristics of a new car. Setting up my SUV's stereo is a bit tricky as the air conditioning controls have to be moved. So I had to first study the owner's manual (from a Montero enthusiast) and send it to the installer before installing it. I'm still learning the features and one thing I don't really like is that during the main driving course the map disappears and you have to click on it to show the map again. However, it reappears as you approach a corner. I'm just used to seeing the map all the time, but I think I can get used to it. The stereo function is very good. The dial is similar to the old style which I prefer as I can see the station I'm looking for at a glance. It currently picks up more stations, FM and AM, than the other more expensive proprietary stereo system in my other car. I think the sound is sufficient for my needs, maybe even excellent, since I'm not that demanding when it comes to my sound system preferences. The original speakers I have are for a limited edition SUV, so it sounds good with that (in short, I can't say if it will sound good with regular speakers). Fingers crossed that the device works well for a long time as I plan on getting a few more for our other vehicles. Update March 2019. The radio died after about 4 months but I contacted the seller and he sent me a new motherboard to replace. Since then it's working again. I suspect our 120F summer weather had an impact, which is why I now put a shade on the windshield when I park the car outside. The radio doesn't pick up all stations like more expensive units, but I'm fine with that as I mainly use it for my USB music collection. Recently the speakers in the doors were changed, the sound is much better. I recently noticed that some of the cable connections were not tight. So when you put the stereo back on the dash, turn the stereo on before you put the screws in so you can hear if the speakers are all working, and if not you can plug them back into connectors (RCA). Currently the device still works great and I always look forward to a long trip.
