I've seen several reviews saying they don't care that this book only teaches so many squares and then gives you repeated ideas on how to mix them in different color schemes to make afghan fabrics. But look at the title here, it's not necessarily a lie. Also, once you have an idea, you can change up the squares to make scarves, hats, yoga mat bags and more if you know how to get creative. Yes, of course the book suggests Vanna's Choice yarn all the time, but okay. I used it as a starting point and it was great for that and anyone with this hobby becomes a renegade with yarn choices and features anyway. Also, the tutorial pages for learning stitches are very clear. I teach friends (who ask me!) to crochet and this book has helped many of them get the hang of it.
