Review on MOOG K80767 Ball Joint: Superior Performance and Durability for Optimal Suspension by Jessie Drury

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good fit/spacing.

Bought one for each side. The steering wheel did not return to the center position, the ball joints creaked. Both boots were broken, the fat was gone. I can't say anything about the durability, just put them on today. Rented a press tool from a parts store and it barely opened enough to fit the new lower ball joints with the press tools. Do your best and make sure you use a short "forge plug" on the end of the threaded portion of the tool. I was concerned the thicker base would rub against the CV or boot, but there is enough clearance. . See photo. Note that the trunk has a notch and it says "Mount Inboard" on the trunk. Both of my were rotated so the oiler was on the back of the knuckle. Each ball joint comes with new nuts for the upper ball joint, lower ball joint and tie rod, as well as an oiler and cotter pin. Give yourself two days to do this at home, especially if your ankle was as rusty as mine. Everyday drivers) were very satisfied with the ride after installation. The steering wheel returned to its original position, there was no more creaking. (The accident was NOT due to the ball joints, someone drove into a stop sign and rolled in front of my wife.)
