FINALLY MOOG ball jointed

Well after almost 200,000 miles and half of that it's definitely time to replace them. AND FINALLY, a MOOG product made in the USA.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Clarity

Will not fit Jeep Liberty 2005 Sport

Bought and brought in by mechanic for fitment. This is not the right part for my 2005 Jeep Liberty Sport even though the website says it will fit my car. I ended up having to use a part from the store.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • I will add later

Great part. Missing necessary accessories.

Box opened and there is no castellated nut, cotter pin or grease nipple. I used it anyway and bought the missing parts at my local auto parts store to make it work. Moog parts are quality. Make sure they don't send you a returned item with missing parts.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • No

Great solid ball joints!

I took the knuckles to my local shop to have them pressed ($45 total). The guy said they overdid the car. I have no intention of ever replacing them again. It's been a month since I completely rebuilt the front and all parts, those ball joints are the least of my worries as a source of failure.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Exterior

Ideal for ball joints

Moog is the brand name for many car parts, especially suspension parts. When you install Moog, you don't have to worry about your part failing months after replacement like many other aftermarket brands. You can trust the name that you are getting an OE quality part at prices well below the dealer.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Premature ball joint failure

These ball joints failed 8 months after installation and apparently within a 300 mile drive. Unfortunately I have no guarantee with moog as the reseller has to guarantee them and this seller is not responsible for the guarantee. I will buy elsewhere. Thank goodness the ball bearings didn't disintegrate. I will be purchasing the same part but from a different location so I can get warranty service.

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging

07 Jeep Liberty Best Shocks, Struts & Suspension

This was on a 2007 Jeep Liberty Sport. Fits perfectly. Appears to be a quality replacement part. The uninstall and install was a little more than I thought it would be. I can tell the difference in how the car drives after the ball joints have been replaced. I replaced the top and bottom pivot pins on both sides of the car. I figured if one was bad, the others weren't far behind. This requires a special tool to easily replace the ball joint. The default Autozone rental tool was not working.

Pros
  • Easy To Use
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide

Good fit/spacing.

Bought one for each side. The steering wheel did not return to the center position, the ball joints creaked. Both boots were broken, the fat was gone. I can't say anything about the durability, just put them on today. Rented a press tool from a parts store and it barely opened enough to fit the new lower ball joints with the press tools. Do your best and make sure you use a short "forge plug" on the end of the threaded portion of the tool. I was concerned the thicker base would rub against the…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Machine not included
