This cheese slicer looked very nice out of the box. It's wide, pleasing to look at, and feels solid. Unfortunately I had two problems. I find wire adjustment quite difficult, especially as there is no easy way to ensure the two sides are set to the same width. It can be done, but it will take too long to get it right. The other big issue is that I put it in the third rack in the dishwasher (to be further away from the hearing element) but it completely discolored in the first wash. I can still use it, but I won't put it on display.
