Works great as promised.

Works great on my 2001 New Beetle TDI On this purchase the gear did not fully retract after use and it was unable to permanently engage the flywheel gear. One year warranty seems like enough, but I had to jump through hoops to exchange this item. Now that I've installed the replacement, it's working great so far.
