Most Raspberry Pi cases are great for covering circuit boards, but the Argon ONE M.2 adds a number of useful features. , the case itself works like a giant heatsink. It includes a small fan, but the case positions the board to fit within the case's ribs, which abut the CPU and RAM chips. Includes software to control fan speed. The Argon comes with a card that plugs into the Pi 4's HDMI, USB, and headphone ports. So when the device is in the case, all the ports — USB, HDMI, power, network, audio, and the power button — are all connected to the back of the case. For cable management and aesthetics, the Argon ONE changes the look and feel of the Pi to something cleaner and more complete. The GPIO ports are also rerouted to the top rear of the case, which can be accessed via a magnetic cover when not in use. I like the clean look. It is not required to use this enclosure with a M.2 SATA (non-NVME) drive, but this enclosure is designed to support it should you decide to upgrade later. The drive is screwed into the bottom of the housing; and the U-Dongle connects the drive to the Pi via one of the USB3 ports. It's not exactly a pretty solution, but it's pretty darn easy. If you still use the SD card as a system drive, just leave the dongle unplugged and both ports will be available. My only major complaint, and that's because I'm new to SATA drives, is that you can't access the SD card without unscrewing the bottom of the case. I don't know if the cheaper version of the case that doesn't support SSD has this problem. Also, this case isn't for people who want to use the connectors on the Pi board, like e.g. B. the camera or display ribbon connectors. If you prefer micro-HDMI cables, the Argon ONE will disappoint you; Everyone else will probably be thrilled that you can use a standard HDMI to HDMI cable instead of having the cable handy. Pi and I used a couple of the wrong screw holes on the side of the Pi on the board before figuring out why the case screws didn't go in. Simple solution. at a better deal than Pi itself. I haven't overclocked much, but I'm impressed with the overall cooling it offers. The Argon ONE is heavy, quiet, and looks as good on a desk as a more expensive Roku or commercial micro PC. For the price, this is a good choice for, say, a media center or office desktop rather than a hobby.
