I have a 1998 Lincoln Mark VIII that the vacuum tank was never properly connected. The canister existed but did not hold the vacuum. It turned out that the check valve (small from the factory and the replacement doesn't work half the time) was connected directly to the A/C/heater unit and not between the vacuum tank and the vacuum source. . This block works reliably, the small ones that Dorman sells for this machine often do not work, the small flap does not close. He always works with it all the time. My AC no longer starts turning off the heaters on inclines and I don't have to wait a few minutes after starting the car for it to switch to the correct outlets. I would only recommend this based on whether the nipple sizes work with your probe and nothing else. 15 inches of vacuum doesn't matter if it comes from a Ford Modular, Chrysler Hemi or GM LS engine. The check valve will either allow flow in one direction, or if defective, flow in both directions, or no flow at all. positive and keeps it grounded.
