Hello, I'm a real locksmith by trade and I can tell you I HATE these Kaba keyboards. Of course, they don't need purely mechanical batteries, but I urge you to find another brand. Every time I deal with any of them, it's always a horrible experience. They are SOOOO overpriced for what you get - there are other options. Just look for mechanical keyboards.
