I only use a Victor Oxygen/Acetylene unit occasionally and recently had to exchange empty gas cylinders for full ones. I expected everything to work fine but was surprised to see the acetylene regulator was leaking from high pressure to low pressure and not maintaining a constant pressure of 5-6psi but continued to rise to 15psi which is an unsafe working pressure for acetylene, it becomes unstable at 15psi and above and can send unwary welders to the promised land. NOW THE SOLUTION. I watched a few YouTube videos and decided that an ESC rebuild kit is the way to go. Delivery was quick and disassembly/removal/reinstallation was easy and solved the problem. If you suspect your camping gear has a problem, fix it immediately before using it again!
