I might get lucky but this cheap little hole punch works great. I use it not only on thinner paper but also on cardboard. And thick greeting cards and back-and-forth gift notes so I can thread and tie them to presents later. So far, so good. Very clear lining with holes, I also like that it gathers the holes it punches in the bottom compartment so no mess is left behind. Gently push it down (you only need to pry it up a bit to reveal all the holes). I squeezed it so hard the first time the little compartment came off haha. BUT I was able to put it back in easily and it works like it never happened, I just open it slightly. Basically an inexpensive DIY tool. And even if it ends up killing me, considering it cost me next to nothing, I'm just glad it helped me get all my Christmas presents, notes, and cards done later this year.
