The only issue I have is getting the pilot light to light every time I turn the unit completely off or have to switch out tanks. Many other viewers complained about pilot light issues and bad customer service. I decided it was worth the risk, especially because of the low price. To light the pilot light the control knob on top of the unit has to be turned to pilot, pushed down and turned to activate the igniter until the pilot light comes on. Even if I stand there for a few minutes holding dien the knob, the pilot light usually won’t stay lit. So, put a full can of paint on top of the knob to hold it down, I go do something for 10-15 minutes or so, come back, take the paint can off and the pilot light stays lit. I worry though that one day it won’t stay lit. I have resigned myself that I’ll have to replace the therma-couple some day. I should probably order one so I have it when I need it.
