The second time around the Dyson Pet Ball had a switch failure. The first time it was under warranty and when I walked into the store it was full of Dyson and he pointed out it was a faulty switch design. This second failure was out of warranty, so I decided to take a chance and buy the Switch after watching a YouTube video or two about the exchange. The switch worked and I only messed up the build once and then fixed my error. I highly recommend trying this yourself if your Switch fails. It probably takes 30 minutes from start to finish, slowly. I hate Dyson, but only because they're full of crap about how "great engineering" is. I've had different brands of vacuums and never had a switch failure, it's just simple stuff.
