Bad grommets great tool

The grommets that come with this tool suck but I bought the tool myself to use with these Amanaote grommets 200 sets in a corset I'll do it. They fit together perfectly, although the grommets are slightly larger than the grommets that come with the tool. The pliers are very easy to use and don't require too much force to squeeze. As someone who insists on tapping, sewing, and knitting constantly despite having carpal tunnel, my tools need to be comfortable in my hands, and I had no pain or cramping while using them to attach grommets to one side of the corset (didn second side not finish). I was able to mount the grommets quickly and securely and the tool worked very well with them. It wasn't until I reread the questions that I realized the tool actually punches holes - I made holes with a seam ripper and then used a knitting needle as a makeshift awl to make them bigger (which is probably better for fabric, but it's more work) what most corset building guides say and it worked really well. I would not use the supplied eyelets on clothing. Maybe on a decorative pillow or something where the back doesn't stick out and rub against anything. They diverge very strongly, leaving very rough edges that stick to anything they come in contact with. Don't buy this expecting to use the grommets on something that will be used regularly. I used a few to test out the pliers before installing a few of my good grommets as practice and eventually moving on to my project and that's honestly all they're good for.

It looks nice, but the learning curve was a pain
