Review on 🌑 Black ecobee Lite Smart Thermostat by Dhoal Shankar

I bought this product in mid-November. I got this particular one because it came with an adapter to convert the 4 wire houses to the 5 wire houses that this thermostat requires. Worked fine until it cooled down. We live in Minnesota and it's cold here. Since Christmas Eve the thermostat has been resetting for a few hours or just turning itself off. He kept coming. But for a few days it was 57 ° in the house in the morning. Then on New Year's Eve, when it was 15 frost outside, it went out and wouldn't come on again. I did a little research online and found this to be a fairly common problem when using an adapter. Several people on Reddit have experienced the same issue. I liked the thermostat so much that I bought a cheap thermostat to live on until I could rewire the thermostat with the five wires needed. Unfortunately, when it switched itself off on New Year's Eve, it shorted out my oven and my Ecobee. Not knowing at the time, I paid the guy at HAV to find out why my oven wasn't working. It turned out that the fuse in the oven had blown and the Ecobee had shorted out. During this process I emailed support to try and fix the issue. Now I have over 10 emails back and forth and no solutions. The emails said "Send a picture of how you connected it". I told them I paid a professional to connect it, no problem. They then told me to call support and I informed them that I had called them for the past two nights in a row and had been on the line for three hours both nights and hadn't spoken to anyone. I would have stayed longer but my iPhone turned me off after three hours. I will buy another smart thermostat but it will not be in ecobee.
