Cooked professionally for 30 years

This appears to have been made by someone who has seen what a food mill looks like but has no idea how it works. That is beautiful! As if. Total total piece of shit! I never write reviews. It's worth my time I'm a chef and I've dealt with the best appliances and the worst. We have never thought of a food grinder (riser) in a kitchen. He just existed and did his job. When I bought it I assumed (erroneously? probably?) that this is basically a tool that will work fine until (worst case) the weld fails. Imagine grinding food with your hand (with a glove, I'm not an animal) through one of these grates. It's good for that. I believe this is useful for throwing at people or a cone for a very small dog. Insufficient tension is the most obvious problem. I was making mango syrup and just wanted to run through (basically pureed) mango just to get all the fiber I could. Well, I just sprinkled them on the grate with a layer of 1.5 mm. So I tried putting some pressure on the bar to get some friction between the paddle and the grate. It only did a mango ring on the side because the paddle is poorly constructed, too flexible with metal. Rubbing the mango through the grate with your fingertips proved to be the most effective method. Easy to clean as I just threw it away. I don't want a replacement. Don't buy this legally. Go to a restaurant supply store and get one. Probably too big for your needs, but I've seen them go through things this POS has only heard rumors of.
