More work than necessary. Not worth the trouble.

I bought this grinder to make my own tomato sauce. I use plum tomatoes instead of already chopped tomatoes. To my surprise, I found this windmill unstable and uncomfortable when trying to use it. The grinder is balanced by just two handles. He slides around. The grinder I used many years ago had three legs with rubber pads for durability. This mill also made a mess. He sprayed tiny drops of gravy within three feet. I spin it at slow to medium speed. The tomatoes kept getting stuck under the…

Everything is gone. at Food Mills

I only bought this mill because my old Foley mill spring was accidentally discarded rendering it unusable. I just bought another vintage Foley. It looks like a smart device and pulls you in with three sizes of discs, but it's nowhere near as efficient or thorough as my Foley. This model can't scratch the disc well enough to thoroughly mill it, and even back scratching doesn't help. I even have this windmill to try some honest ones and I hate the damn thing. It might be better for tomato sauce…

Cooked professionally for 30 years

This appears to have been made by someone who has seen what a food mill looks like but has no idea how it works. That is beautiful! As if. Total total piece of shit! I never write reviews. It's worth my time I'm a chef and I've dealt with the best appliances and the worst. We have never thought of a food grinder (riser) in a kitchen. He just existed and did his job.
