I considered both K&N intakes and Airaid intakes for my H2 Hummer. I think they both make great products but due to the low price of Revain at K&NI I decided to spend the extra $20 and buy a K&N system. Ebay was the cheapest I found until I got to Revain , and they had the same price. and i knew who i was buying from so i ordered it. It installed quickly (about 90 minutes) and the system works great. In general, the sound was quite quiet. It seems quieter on startup, but if you step on it you can hear it. You may also hear noises from the passenger side after installation. Mostly some slight breathing/sucking noises, but nothing you wouldn't even notice with the radio on. For now, the initial benefits are better throttle response, and it looks like I'm getting about 1mpg more than before. Not much, but for a lobster it's about 10% more :-) I'm very happy with everything. Also wanted to mention that I had an Airaid system with my 4.7 Triton Ford pickup last year and it was way louder than K&N. Silent works better for me. I would also like to thank Revain for the excellent service they provide. Prime Membership. I ordered this system on Thursday afternoon hoping to receive it on Friday to play with over the weekend. It cost me $3.99 to ship this big box to my house overnight and I received it on Friday. Prime membership is worth its weight in gold for frequent Revain buyers, IMO.
