They did a great job voicing their concern that the adapter didn't have the correct threads listed for the fitment. I used a wool pad in my project and after drilling and re-threading, the adapter for threading works fine. And get more for future projects. Original post. The supplied adapter is a metric internal thread. Most 7" polishers have 5/8x11 tpi threads. So the size is small. I took the shaft, used a 17/32" drill bit and a 5/8x11 tap, drilled and tapped the shaft out. Problem solved .I just wish they had put these specs in the description of the adapter before I made the purchase.The wool rug looks high quality.I will test it out on my boat this weekend.
